About Me

My name is Aruna MS (Harani), and I am a Fine Artist experienced in Acrylic and Oil Paintings. I currently live with my husband in the USA.

My fine art journey began in Bangalore (India), where I met a teacher named Jayasree who helped me explore my painting skills. She started me off with watercolor paintings. Later, my husband and I moved to the United States, where YouTube became my source of study. I enhanced my artistic skills by watching and practicing Kevin Hill's painting videos.

I had a great interest in Fine art during my high school days. Students who took science as their major subject used to ask me to draw biology/physics pictures for their lab assignments.

I am inspired to create paintings of photos taken by nature photographers or those who take really interesting photos. I love portraits and landscape paintings. I started with landscapes and then began to enjoy portrait paintings. I mostly paint with Acrylic and Oil colors.

In addition to painting, I love traveling, photography, watching birds and walking in the woods.
